‘Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOO HOO, What a Ride’
I was watching John Wooden on Ted Talks when he made the following quote: At God's footstool, to confess, A poor soul knelt and bowed his head. "I failed," he cried. The master said, "Thou didst thy best. That is success." And I have to say, I was rather moved. "Thou didst thy best. That is success." All too often, we look around and compare ourselves against what we see. We rate our achievements against those of other people, when the true test of accomplishment is against our personal best, not someone else’s.
